Schrade SCHF48 Jethro Knife Review

A very important essential for your bug-out/ survival kit is a knife. Better yet, multiple knives. You should always be prepared in case one of your knives fail.

This knife is massive, yet it will fit perfectly in your bag. It comes with a sheath, which also has a belt. So, you can wear it around your waist, rather than putting it in your bag.

Here are some product details;
• Full Tang
• Nylon Fiber Belt Sheath
• Titanium Coated 3Cr13 Stainless Steel
• Length: 18.03 in.
• Weight: 1.62 lbs

It is made out of 3Cr13 stainless steel, meaning it’s a Chinese stainless steel. That may turn a lot of people away, however, I have put it through a lot of abuse and don’t see any sign of it failing any time soon

Keep in mind that this knife is not an axe, but you can easily cut down smaller branches and logs. It came very sharp straight out of the box. You can’t really expect less from a great company like Schrade.

Of course doing a lot of cutting and chopping is hard on the hands, but the TPE handle slabs are very comfortable, and allow you to keep working.

This knife costs $52 on Amazon. It has many great reviews and 4.5 out of 5 stars.

If that is too pricey, I do have other (and smaller) knives that I will be reviewing next.
